Spanish Steps installation backstage at Cappella Orsini lab.

The Spanish Steps is the living room of Rome, and this evening reveals how this world showcase for the first time the process involved  in a creation to evoke its Baroque splendor.

The desire to communicate how, in the seventeenth century, the protagonists of Rome were the beauty and awe.

The great protagonists of this tale were the artists of the Roman Baroque: Bernini,

Borromini and many others. Roberto Lucifero has reinvented a baroque machine and created an  installation on the facade of the Spanish Embassy. The 

installation entitled Digital Baroque, using techniques following virtuosic Roman tradition has been

fused with the most advanced techniques of electronic processing.

Some elements, taken from the installation, have been isolated and transformed into NFT.

The evening is an opportunity to learn all the artistic, technical, and technological secrets behind his complex process. It will be a true discovery of how the ancient expertise of a still existing art workshop has been able to adapt to new technologies to combine tradition and innovation. Guests will have the opportunity to explore and participate firsthand in an ‘artistic action in the same art studio where these masterpieces were made in an ancient deconsecrated church in one of the most historically rich areas of Rome. This location has been  Roberto Lucifero’s studio for the past 40 years.
